The 171 17th Street building recently became the a BOMA 360 certified building.
The BOMA 360 Performance Program is a groundbreaking new program designed to validate and recognize commercial properties that demonstrate best practices in all major areas of building operations and management. A BOMA 360 Performance Building designates that a property is being managed to the highest standards of excellence. 171 17th Street building is owned by Atlantic Office Acquisition Inc. and is managed by Carter Property Management, where Rutledge Beacham is the manager.
TOBY Awards Entrance Deadline Approaching
The TOBY Award and Earth Award programs are the most prestigious and comprehensive awards programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in office buildings and awarding excellence in building management and environmental stewardship. The TOBY Award recognizes all facets of a building's operations, including tenant relations programs, community involvement, emergency preparedness, security standards, and continuing education for building personnel. GREEN Real Estate Summit 2010
The GREEN Real Estate Summit 2010, presented by BOMA-Atlanta, will be held Feb. 16 and 17 at the Green Seal Certified Emory Conference Center Hotel.
The GREEN Real Estate Summit is the first meeting of its kind in the state of Georgia. It brings together commercial real estate owners, property managers, facility managers, building engineers and companies providing green products and services to learn about the benefits of utilizing sustainable practices. Specifically, the event will focus on sustainable operations and maintenance of existing buildings.

BOMA-Atlanta Freezes Membership Dues
BOMA-Atlanta has frozen membership dues for 2010 at the current 2009 level. Freezing membership dues is one step in a series of efforts BOMA-Atlanta is making to serve members during this difficult economic environment. The association has also offered a variety of free and low-cost educational programs for members and also continues to provide value to building owners through government advocacy.
Starting January 1, 2010, BOMI is moving to computer-based testing for all courses. With this change, there will be a $60 additional BOMI fee for each test taken on computer under the new BOMI testing system. To read more about the change to computer-based testing and its benefits,
