Emergency Planning Seminar 2 - Plan Development. (Feb. 22) The second in a series of three seminars, it will instruct participants on how to develop, write and organize a workable and easily executable plan for a wide range of likely emergency situations that may confront a Class A property.
Facilities Planning and Project Management Course. (Feb. 28) Taking this course is a strategic move for any facilities planner or project manager. You will develop the skills and knowledge critical to the successful execution of a facilities project: proper planning, selecting a building's team, and following through with attention to detail. Instructor: David Ferguson, RPA, facility manager, Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Emergency Planning Seminar 3 - Plan Testing. (March 22) The seminar will focus on how to prepare for and successfully execute emergency drills to assess plan reliability, likely issues to be faced if a real situation were to unfold and ease of plan execution. Participants will actively engage in a full-scale table top exercise using a contrived but realistic emergency situation relying on the resources, size and scope of an actual Class A property.
Budgeting and Accounting Course. (March 28) you will have the opportunity to apply concepts within the real property and facilities context. You will follow the accounting process and creation of a budget from start to finish, learning such valuable skills as how to interpret financial statements, annual reports, and statements of cash flows. And you will learn practical skills such as how to compile lease abstracts and prepare rent rolls. Instructor: Mark Dukes, Duke Realty, vice president, asset management and customer service, Duke Realty Corporation.
